The Universidad de Sta. Isabel Debate Society will be holding the 4th BICOLWIDE BRITISH PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE TOURNAMENT on December 4 - 7, 2010 at Universidad de Sta. Isabel Main Campus with the theme “Debate UPGRADE”.


 

This four-day tournament aims to boost the communication and critical thinking skills of the participating debaters, adjudicators, and public speakers, as well as instill values of leadership, competitiveness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Furthermore, this will be an avenue for a one-of-a-kind learning experience rarely taught or even experienced in a traditional school setting. By these, the participants can become critical and outspoken citizens who can lead the path to community and nation building.


The 4th BICOLWIDE BRITISH PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE TOURNAMENT will gather members of the Bicol debating community to outsmart and outwit each other through five grueling and laborious preliminary debate rounds. From these rounds, the best sixteen teams will advance to the final series, where they will clash and where they will distinguish among themselves the best debaters who best deserve to hold the championship title.
